I recently had a fantastic stay in this hotel located in the heart of the old quarter. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The room was spotlessly clean and had all the basic amenities I needed, including a nice balcony. The breakfast selection was impressive, with a combination of Vietnamese and European foods that were absolutely delicious.
All was perfect, nothing to improve.

Hotel’s position just a walk down to all my favourite places, like st joseph's cathedral. Plenty of restaurants to eat close by, like Bun bo Nam Bo that was only 5 minutes' walk away. 35 minutes by car from the airport. Tay Ho neighbourhood deserves to be explored...

The staff at Mai Hotel were absolutely fantastic. They were very helpful and friendly. Leanne who booked our trips for us was such a pleasure to talk to, as was the rest of the staff. We had to cancel our Sapa trip because of a sick child and they went out of their way to help and got us 75% refund. Their kindness made our trip memorable and cant wait to go back. The rooms were clean, roomy and cheap. Thank-you so much for everything

We had a great stay in this hotel. The staff were very friendly and informative, giving us helpful tips on avoiding tourist traps. The location was also convenient as it was close to both Hoan Kiem lake and West lake. The hotel facilities were clean and well-equipped, and the breakfast was satisfying.
Nothing all excellent.

The manager Sarah was fantastic. She organised our trips to Sapa and Halong Bay and did a great job. Nothing was too much trouble.
The Hotel is a little tired and needs a re-furb.

The hotel was clean and well-equipped. Good breakfast with European food. Convenient location near Hoan Kiem lake. Large room with separate sitting area, safe, fridge, and coffee facilities. Great value for money. Manager greeted us and provided birthday cake. Fantastic team, went the extra mile.
Nothing.

we didn´t get the room we booked - so we got a room without window which was really dirty. the hotel management didn´t really excuse for that. only excuse "its high season". breakfast was the badest we got during our 4 weeks travel through vietnam. What we noticed was that all the time we passed the reception some people were complaining about the room conditions, like bed bugs etc.

This hotel in the Old Quarter is great value for money. It may be a budget hotel, but it offers basic amenities and attention to detail. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Anna at the front desk who arranged an amazing overnight trip for us. The location was fantastic, right in the heart of the Old Quarter with easy access to all the attractions. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we especially loved the balcony with a great view of the city. The breakfast included both Vietnamese and European food and had a good taste, giving us a taste of the local cuisine.
No negative aspects were mentioned in the given reviews.

Great price for a budget hotel that was adequate for my business trip needs. The staff were helpful and willing to pack breakfast for me to take on the go. The hotel is in a great location close to local shops, restaurants, and public transportation.
The noise levels were high, making it difficult to get a good night's rest. The room felt damp and had a musty odor.

Located in the heart of the bustling Old Quarter area, this hotel is close to many restaurants, shops, and attractions. Although it’s next to a lively nightclub that plays music until 2 AM, we were able to sleep peacefully. the hotel is in an ideal location for exploring the city, situated in the heart of the historic old quarter of the city.
Some aspects of the hotel seemed outdated and could benefit from some renovation work.
